I believe it is very important to pass some legislation which will enable physicians and hospitals to obtain malpractice insurance at reasonable rates and eventually this will probably have to include some limitation on the amount of recovery in malpractice suits. The Attorney General has advised that such a limitation would be unconstitutional but the legislature needs to resolve this question.
