Niles Aylor, Thomas Banks and Pete Aylor of Sperryville Boy Scout Troop 65 were victors in the chariot race during the weekend camporee held on the Rodgers farm near Flint Hill. Three poles were lashed together in a triangle to make the chariot which two boys pulled while a third one rode up hill on the conveyance. This was a timed event and added to the total points of the Sperryville Troop which took the highest weekend award. Other troop members are Sean Marsh, Kevin Smithgall, Jeff Gatewood and Vincent Aylor.
