THE 1976 4-H Share-the-Fun contest held February 19 consisted of 16 junior acts with young people frpm 9 to 13 years of age participating. The top three presentations were a comedy routine, “Floogle Street,” by Jeannine and Phoebe Pierson and Sharon and Shelia Scott; Lavonne Adkins with a vocal solo, “Vincent”; and a pantomime by Dwayne Pierson. These contest winners will compete in Culpeper April 16 for district awards.
4-H Share-the-Fun is an amateur talent show which helps members to “discover and to develop their talents, poise, confidence, skills and leadership, and to provide wholesome recreation.” Acts are classified as instrumental, vocal, dance, dramatic or a variety of these. The program is sponsored by the Virginia Association of Electric Co-operatives. Francis Updike, representing the Northern Piedmont Electric Cooperative, assisted in presenting the awards.
