Engagement

The Rev. and Mrs. Harold Carder of Culpeper announce the engagement of their daughter, Beverly Miller Carder, to William W. Koontz Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Koontz of Brandy Station. Miss Carder is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Latham, Sr. Miss Carder is employed with the Virginia Baptist Home and the bridegroom elect manages Oak Hill Farm which is owned by his parents. Both are graduates of Culpeper County High School. A July wedding is planned.

Mrs. E.M. Jones entertained the Washington Bridge Club Thursday evening having as guests Mrs. B.M. Miller, Mrs. Harold Scoggin, Mrs. Paul Miller, Mrs. Harry Lee Smith, Mrs. Frank Spalding, Mrs. L.J. Turner, Mrs. Ian Pryde and Mrs. Elmo Flynt.D
