In the first section oi tne race, veterans David Semmes and his honest August Acorn led over most of the 20 fences and two and a half miles. Myers and his young Jigtime gelding, Frost Time, took the lead on the back, three fences from home. August Acorn couldn’t catch him, losing by two lengths, just as he had lost last year to Free Movement.
