Congressman I. Kenneth Robinson has termed “deceptive and fiscally irresponsible” a resolution to fix federal spending limits which is up for debate in the House this week.

“At first glance, it may appear to be somewhat better than the ‘target’ budget resolution, adopted earlier this year, because it provides for a deficit of ‘only’ $52.6 billion for the new fiscal year, which is a reduction of approximately $6 billion from the previous estimate,” Robinson said in remarks prepared for a meeting of the Rock Hill Ruritan Club (Mt.
