Achievement Night which is held annually by the Rappahannock County Extension Homemakers Clubs is scheduled this year for Monday, September 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Sperryville .fire hall. .
Exhibits " prepared by Amissville, Chester Gap, Woodville and Flint Hill Clubs will be displayed and judged.
For the past year the Federation Program of Work by the Clubs has been “Health” and each club has held various programs on this topic throughout the year. Guest speakers for the Achievement Night Program will be Dr. Werner Krebser speaking on “Maintaining One’s Health” and Frances Thornton, Rappahannock County Public Health Nurse speaking on the “Services of The Mental Health Clinic”.
“Recipes from Old Virginia,” a cookbook containing over 700 recipes will be on sale with Mrs. Vi Cooley, Cookbook Chairman, in charge. Recipes for the book were contributed by club members and many of them have been handed down for generations.
