A Tuesday evening visitor of Mrs. Guy Burke was her son, Trenton Burke, of Culpeper.

Miss Patty Penaranda arrived Friday to spend the holiday weekend with her grandfather, Stant Weaver. Also visiting Mr. Weaver was Mike Hicks of Culpeper. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Penaranda of Fairfax joined their daughter and Mr. Weaver on Sunday and attended a brotherhood supper at Graves Mountain Lodge in Syria.
Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Pennington over the Labor Day weekend were her sons, Grant Hill of Washington, D.C., and Lloyd Hill of Miami, Fla., who brought with him a friend, Patricia Quinland of Scotland.
Mrs. W. C. Campbell left Wednesday for Newport News to attend her granddaughter’s wedding on Friday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dermitt and daughter Cory of Sayville, N.Y., are now moving into South Ben Venue. , Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett has been transferred from Warren Memorial Hospital to Royal Haven Rest Home, 316 North Royal Ave., Front Royal. She would appreciate any cards and notes that her friends could send her.
On Friday evening, the Rev. and Mrs. Jennings Hobson attended a surprise birthday party for her mother, Mrs. Robert L. Humphrey, in Middleburg. Thursday luncheon guests of Mrs. L. J. Turner included Mrs. F. A. Hume and Mrs. W. H. Lyne, Sperryville, Mrs. Albert Doub, Amissville, Mrs. Frank Spalding, Flint Hill, Mrs. Elmo Flynt, Mrs. T. C. Lea and Mrs. W. M. Fletcher.
Church Notice
The Washington Baptist Church would like to announce the addition of two new facets to its Sunday morning programs. According to the minister, there is now a nursery from 10 a.m. until noon during the Sunday School and worship services. There is now a youth choir, too, which will be a part of the worship service most Sundays. Everyone is invited to attend all services.
