Talent Show

Fun, food and entertainment will be presented at the 1977 Rappahannock All-Star Revue, a talent show to benefit Sursum Corda School scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 17 at the old school house in Washington.
The revue promises to be a showcase for local talent, featuring Rappahannock performers in song, dance, instrumental and variety acts. Highlight of the show will be a performance by the Beaver Dam Band from Sperryville and the surrounding country side and well-known through the area for bluegrass and country music. Jeff Harper, disc jockey from WEER radio station in Warrenton, will emcee the show.
Baked goods, popcorn, house plants, photographs and paintings by a local artist will also be on sale.
Admission for the evening’s entertainment is S2 with Senior citizens admitted for $1 and children under 12 free.
All proceeds from the revue and sale items will benefit the school and help to buy needed supplies and duplicating equipment. Sursum Corda is a private school in Washington in its second year of operation and offers classes from kindergarten through third grade.
