Spending the Labor Day weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lillard were their daughters and families, Mrs. Joan Patton, Mindy, Joy and Helen of Stephens City, Mrs. Linda Haney and Sharon of Alexandria, and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wade and Bill of Chantilly.
Mrs. Moe Walker, accompanied by Bob Cook, visited her sister, Mrs. Margaret Roberson, in Charlottesville on Sunday. Spending the weekend with the Walkers was their daughter, Joyce Walker of Falls Church. On Monday, the Walkers were hosts for a cookout attended by about thirty people.
Mrs. Elmer Atkins and her sister, Mrs. Virginia Gochenour of Luray, visited Harper’s Ferry on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Adde Marrow of Front Royal visited her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Atkins on Sunday.
Mrs. Lena Pullen of Winchester spent Saturday night with Mrs. Ethel Pullen.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Foster called on Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Corbin and Brad and Jeff Corbin in Hartwood on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry Welch were hosts for a cookout on the Shenandoah River Sunday afternoon. Those attending were Mrs. Debbie Wimmer and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Corder and children of Front Royal, Miss Holly Holbick of Vienna, Mrs. Lena Pullen of Winchester, and Mrs. Welch’s mother, Mrs. Ethel Pullen. The Welch family attended a cookout on Labor Day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Clatterbuck in Front Royal.
