On Monday, June 19, the Rappahannock Supervisors will meet at the courthouse to approve the county’s 19781979 budget and set a tax rate for the coming year. In order to fund county services as proposed in the advertised budget, assessment will be set at $4.20 per $100—an increase of 20 cents on the levy.
Total revenue requirements called for by the proposed budget are over the two million dollar mark for the first time. This year's contemplated expenditures add up to $2,247,096—an increase of $330,505.
In addition to raising the property taxes by 20 cents.
