tun. Kids can only take so much anil work on fielding, hitting and pitching. To maintain interest, they need to play real games. And in order to have contests, the Association must have enough participants to make up at least four teams.
It’s not too late to join. Any boy or girl interested in playing baseball can just show up at the elementary school field on any evening during the week. Or they can call Don Keithley at 6753431 or Guy Foster at 675-3467 to sign up.
Now that adult involvement has provided enough coaches and umpires, it would be sad if the program failed in its second year of operation because kids are no longer interested in what was once our national pastime.
