Graduates
Cadet William R. Lowe, of Washington, was among some 200 Virginia Military Institute first classmen graduated May 20 in commencement exercises.
Lowe, a dean’s list history major, received a bachelor of arts degree and a commission as a second lieutenant in the U. S. Army Reserve. He was president of the riding team, vice president of the civil war roundtable, and treasurer of the student grotto. A second lieutenant in the VMI Corps of Cadets, he was named a distinguished military graduate. He was graduated from Fauquier High School before entering the Institute and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William M. Lowe of Washington.
