The Rappahannock Athletic Association’s summer baseball program has a new problem. The Association beat the bushes for money, equipment and volunteers to coach and umpire. Now the program needs kids. Try-outs two weeks ago were rained out. Last Saturday, the field was full of boys nine to eleven years old but in the other ^e groups and on the girls team, participation was lacking.
In order for the program to run effectively, the Association needs girls of all ages and boys from ages 12 to 17. Last year, older kids dropped out because there weren’t enough players to field more than one team.
