However. Mrs. Kilpatrick’s research turned up census figures for 1977 that list 109 eight-year-olds—the same group that numbered only 40 six-year-olds earlier. The 30 one-year-olds counted in 1971 grew into 102 sevenyear-olds by the 1977 census. According to Mrs. Kilpatrick’s data, the total number of children between the ages of one and 19 was 1.697 as counted in the 1971 census. In the 1977 census. 2.018 children were counted.
