Everything beneficial to us. the Congressman has voted against.
In a recent edition of the Rappahannock News I read that the male from this District who sits in Congress, according to a certain organization, "registered an almost perfect score" according to that organization's standards. "He took the conservative position 91 per cent of the time."
Never having been concerned much about the sometimes generous, sometimes arbitrary classification of conservative, liberal but being much more concerned with what that “91 per cent almost perfect score” means to us voters in terms of issues. I thought I'd check.
The National Council of Senior Citizens, in its publication “Senior Citizen News”, of February. 1978 reveals that the male from this District who sits in Congress, for legislation beneficial to senior citizens, had a voting record of 8 per cent. This suggests that his 91 per cent almost perfect record was not in our interests; that it was in the interest of those who would profit at our expense.
We also know that "Kenny" in achieving his "almost perfect score consistently voted for the oil interests, at least twice voted to deregulate natural gas prices, voted to protect utility corporations from anti-trust action, and voted to protect the big tax loopholes for the oil companies.
His voice on these matters, either directly or indirectly, tend to cost us more for these items.
