As we go lo vote this November, Christian friends, the issue of liquor by the drink in Rappahannock, let us continue to fight the works of Satan and vote against it.
God's Word has a lot to say against this ungodly drink. The Lord Jesus is against it. that's why I am against it, and every bom again person saved by the grace of God should be against it.
God's word says, "Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise." (Prov. 20:1) "Woe unto him that iriveth his neighbor drink, that pultest thy bottle to him. and makes! him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness." ( Hah. 2:151
I Cor. 6:10 says, "No drunkard shall inherit the Kingdom of God." Dear friends, we can give you many other verses of scripture from God's word that He is against strong drink.
1 know some people will say we need the tax money. Every dollar that comes in from the strong drink for taxes, there is much more going out in expenses because of it. Just go by and visit hospitals, nursing homes, jails and broken homes and you ran sec what alcohol will do to the human body. Worst of all. a drunkard that dies rejecting the Lord Jesus will go to hell and await for the great white throne judgment and be sentenced lo the lake of fire forever. (Rev. 20:11. IS I
Thanks to God there is hope on this side of eternity, if a person will repent of this sin and trust the Lord Jesus lor salvation. Rom 10: IS says. "Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Cord shall be saved." Bear friend, if you are not saved, would you receive Jesus as your personal Savior before it is too late? May God bless you.
