The streets of Washington win be filled with lambs, goats and other farm animals for petting and picture taking. Experts will be on' hand to provide information and answer questions.
The Rappahannock Library will have its annual book side, the Rappahannock Chorus will present a program of patriotic musk and the Rappahannock Folk Dancers will entertain. Political speeches, bluegrass music and games of all kinds will round out the day.
Charles Manson and Fran Eldred, co-chairpersons of the celebration, emphasized that the event is for all citizens of the county, young and old. Proceeds from the games, fire engine rides and chicken barbecue will benefit the Washington Volunteer Fire Department, whkh js sponsoring the event in place of a carnival this year.
The festivities start at 10 a.m. and go until dark. There will be plenty of free parking in Washington on July 4.
