ticipate in the summer reading program. Reading is its own reward. The Rappahannock Library, however, will pile reward on top of reward in the summer reading program. Youngsters who participate will be required to turn in either written or oral reports to the librarian on each book they select. For finishing eight books during the summer, they will receive a reading participation certificate. At the conclusion of the program, the child who has read the most books will be awarded a special prize.
Parents are invited to attend the free film showings or, while waiting for their youngsters, they can browse in the library or take a walkking tour to see the many recently restored buildings that have given Washington a new face.
