Rappahannock Boy Scouts from Troop 123 of Washington and Troop 143 of Boston recently attended a weekend camp and “See ‘n’ Do” outdoor skills day at State Senator Andy Guest’s farm on the Shenandoah River near Front Royal.
Using the Official Boy Scout Handbook as a guide, scouts showed how to live in the out-of-doors, demonstrating compass use, fire building under all types of conditions, rope and knot tying and what to do when lost.
