To help Virginia gardeners determine their planting time, University of Virginia climatologists have prepared a series of maps showing freeze probabilities around the state.

The series consists of three maps, one showing when different areas can expect a 90 per cent chance of freeze, another giving dates when the freeze probability will drop to SO per cent and a third showing when there will be only a ten per cent chance of freeze.

Copies of the free maps can be obtained by writing the Office of the State Climatologist, Clark Hall, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Va. 22901.
