Diane Pullen of Sperryville with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Taylor of Castleton left by plane from New York for a tour of Spain. Rappahannock Tack Shop opened and proprietor Jean Lillard was preparing for its grand opening over the weekend. L. H. LuttreU of Amissville was recuperating from surgery in Fauquier Hospital, Warren ton and Mrs. David Streagle was at Dulles Airport to meet Mr. Streagle who was on spring break from the University of Nebraska in Omaha.

returned to the States after a three year tour of duty in the Canal Zone and are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Woodward in Sperryville.

Mr. and Mrs. Emory Russell and Terry of Flint Hill left for a trip to Arizona and Las Vegas, Nev.

Mrs. Lois Sevareid of Flint Hill had returned from a safari to Kenya, Africa and gave a travelogue in the newspaper for several weeks.

After several hours of practice and drilling, several county fire , departments stood by while an old i* bouse on the Homer Henry farm was burned to make way for a new structure.
