The Virginia Commission for the Arts is searching for black artists of every discipline to participate in a statewide conference on July 12 which will focus on ways the Commission can better serve black Virginians.
The Virginia Commission has contracted with Hampton Institute to develop a mailing list of black artists and contacts in each city and county of the Commonwealth. People and organizations on this list, in addition to being invited to the July conference, will receive regular information from the Virginia Commission for the Arts.
