Installed

Bob Ingle was sworn in as 23rd president of the Rappahannock Lions Club in special ceremonies June 25 during the club’s regular meeting.

Formal induction was conducted by Roy Wilson, former governor of Lions district 24A, comprising 75 Lions clubs in Northern Virginia. Four years ago, Wilson, then District Governor, initiated Ingle into the Rappahannock Lions Club.

He commented favorably on the nearly 100 percent membership growth in Rappahannock in those four years, and wished that all other clubs in the district might have done as well.

Other officers installed for the coming year were: Rob McDaniel. Fanning Baumgardner, and Art Town as first, second and third vice presidents, respectively; A1 Doub, secretary; Hugh Chrisman. treasurer; Ashton Baines. Lion tamer; Frank Gannon, tail twister; and Carson Johnson, Doug Baumgardner. Holly Pendleton and Clyde Johnson as directors.

The Rappahannock Lions Club was founded in April 1958.
