According to statistics released by the Rappahannock-Rapidan
Planning District Commission. the number of new housing units approved in the county in the second quarter of 1980 declined 17 percent compared to the same period of 1979.
During the second quarter of 1979, 18 housing units were approved in Rappahannock by local officials. For April through June of 1980, the number dropped to 15.
