Miss Carolyn Ann Neal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy L. Neal of Rochelle, became the bride of James Richard Scott of Amissville, son of Mrs. Charlotte Scott and the late William E. Scott, on Saturday, June 21, 1980.
The double-ring ceremony took place at two o'clock in the afternoon at the Amissville United Methodist Church, with the bride's uncle, the Rev. Ernest B. Gheen, officiating.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a white gown of organza and rayon illusion net. The sheer neckline and stand-up collar were trimmed with lace and seed pearls and scalloped lace accented the long, sheer sleeves. Her fingertip veil was attached to a Juliet cap and she carried a bouquet of silk miniature pink carnations and white sweetheart roses.
Miss Sheri Neal of Gainesville, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor. Her gown was of blue sheer polyester over taffeta and she carried a bouquet of blue and w hite silk daisies.
