In addition, the board unanimously adopted the new calculus text books recommended by math department head Don Bomberger and approved a voluntary student insurance program with premiums of $4.50 to be paid by participating individuals.
Following a second executive session which lasted until after midnight, the school board members voted unanimously to hire three new teachers for the high school, leaving the total of vacancies in instructional staff at six, and accepted the resignation of one teacher, providing a suitable replacement is found.—D.H.
Corbin Reunion
A reunion of the Corbin family will be held July 27 at Mountain Run Lake in Culpeper. Families are asked to bring a covered dish and drinks and arrive at 12:30 for the lunch which will be served at 1 o’clock. All are welcomed to join the group and enjoy the family gettogether.
