Change In Food
Stamp Regulations
Food stamp regulations are being changed August 1 to allow certain households to apply for food stamps at their local Social Security Administration office.
This new August 1 regulation applies to households in which all members receive or are' applying for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits.
Persons wishing to obtain more information on this and other aspects of the Food Stamp Program should contact their local department of welfare or social services, or call the Virginia Department of Welfare, tollfree. at 1-800-552-3431.
