Miss Rebecca Frances Atkins, daughter of l*yle W. Atkins of Sperryvilie, was married Saturday, August 2, 1980, to Allen Ward Tuel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Tuel of Culpeper.

Elder Kirby Shenk performed the ceremony at the Thornton’s Gap Baptist Church near Sperryvilie.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of white peau de soie and a veil of rosepoint Brussels lace. She carried a bouquet of daisies, roses and baby’s breath.

Mrs. Barbara Gore of Sperryvilie was her sister’s matron of honor. Her long blue gown was trimmed in white lace.

Maid of honor was Miss Betty Atkins, also a sister of the bride, who wore a pink gown trimmed in white lace.

Bridesmaids were Mrs. Brenda Sacco, the bride’s sister. Miss Robin Jones, niece of the groom, Mrs. Nancy Atkins and Miss Peggy Pullen. All attendants wore long dresses designed on empire lines with match
