Twenty youngsters who finished the Rappahannock County Library’s summer reading program were entertained Tuesday, August 19, at a monster party, complete with monster. peanut treasure hunt and ice cream.
Kindergarteners and preschoolers had 21 books read to them while older boys and girls were required to read one fiction book and selections from each of the Dewey system’s main categories: philosophy, religion, social science, technology, sports and arts, poetry and drama, history and biography.
Of the 45 youngsters who started on the adventures through books in June, 20 made it to the book monster’s castle last week: .Chris and James Stone, Katheryn and Joann McDaniel.
