Miss Carol Sue Fincham left Monday for Fort Jackson, S. C., where she will be stationed with the U. S. Army. She was given a farewell party Saturday by Miss Gail Nicholson and other co-workers at the Freedom Studies Center. The party was held in Brandy.
Sunday Mrs. Billy Fincham entertained in Carol’s honor with a party at Mountain Run Lake in Culpeper. In addition to Mr. and Mrs. Fincham and Donna, those present were Mr. and Mrs. Glen Cave and Tanya, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Fincham and Peggy, Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Horton, Mike Atkins, David Menefee, Glenn Stringfellow, Mrs. John Lamb, Steve and Wayne.
Charles Kennedy. Tina and Tricia of Fairfax were Monday guests of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Waverly Kennedy and Mrs. Ruth Kennedy.
Mrs. A. B. Honts of Front Royal and Mrs. Richard Price of Mars Hill, N. C., were Monday callers of Mrs. Cary Thornhill, Mrs. George Butler and Mrs. Mamie Hawkins and with them visited Mrs. Jane Thornhill in Culpeper and Jesse Hawkins in Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Smith were in Charlottesville Friday when Mr. Smith went for a checkup following eye surgery in University of Virginia Hospital.
