The wedding of Victoria May Laing, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Noel Laing of Pennington, N.J., formerly of Amissville and Purcellville, to Peter Moran Henry took place Aug. 16 in a garden ceremony at Bunree Farm, Amissville. home of the bride’s grandfather Douglas Garvey Laing.
The groom is the son of Captain and Mrs. John Henry of Paeonian Springs.
The Rev. Richard Winter performed the double-ring ceremony.
A reception followed.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an empire-waist gown of white satin with a chapel-length train and three-quarter length veil. She carried a bouquet of white daisies and yellow sweetheart roses.
Virginia Charles-Ann Tezak of Hamilton was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Clara. Kathleen. Aileen and Noel Laing. sisters of the bride, and Eileen Henry, sister of the groom.
The bridesmaids wore empire-waist gowns of printed silk in pastel shades and carried bouquets of summer flowers. . Th.9ms.wu_ila>bs of Leonardtown, Md., was best man. Ushers were James Foxgrover. Michael Hardey. Michael Ackerman, John Frazier, brother-in-law of the groom, and Robert C. Laing. brother of the bride.
After their wedding trip the couple will live in Lawrenceville, N.J. The bride is a graduate of Rappahannock High School and the Practical School of Nursing of Princeton, N.J. She is employed by the Princeton Medical Center.
Mr. Henry is a graduate of Loudoun Valley High School and attended Kent State
