Settle
Otha Mellon Settle, Sr., 66, of Eggbornsville, died Sunday, November 2, 1980 at his residence.
Graveside services were held Wednesday at Hillcr^st Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton by the Rev. John S. Farrar.
A native of Rappahannock County, Mr. Settle was the son of the late Silas and Carrie Martin Settle. His wife was the late Inez Elizabeth Settle. ^ He is survived bv- three sons, Ot"ha Settle, Jr. and Gfene A. Settle,'both of Rixeyville and James Settle of LaPlata, Md.; six daughters, Mrs. Shirley Tanner of York. Pa., Mrs. Mary Gooding of Accokeek, Md., Mrs. Sue Wood, Miss Alice Settle and Mrs. Juanita Whorton, all of Culpeper and Mrs. Frances Virginia Jolliffe of Rixeyville; 20 grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, James Settle of Pennsylvania, Grove Settle of Castleton and Al Settle of Rixeyville; and four sisters, Miss Janie Settle and Miss Myrtle Settle, both of Eggbornsville, Mrs. Marie Brown of Culpeper and Mrs. Anna Parker of Flint Hill.
