Maud E. Roy of Washington has announced the engagement of her daughter, Wanda Denise of Washington, D.C., to Percy Ridley, Jr. of Ashville, N.C., son of Vivian Ridley, also of Ashville, and Percy Ridley of Chicago, 111.
Miss Roy is a 1970 graduate of Rappahannock County High School and is employed at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in D.C.
Mr. Ridley graduated from South French Branch High School in Ashville. He is employed at Eagle Electric Company and is a real estate agent with Jones and Will Associates in D.C.
A January wedding is planned.

Seminar
Wednesday, November 12th. at 9:30 A.M., Dorothy Davis will begin a series of seminars devoted to the history of Rappahannock County. The series is sponsored by the Rappahannock County Library and will be held at the library. Mrs. Davis will talk on the history of the town of Washington and a little of the history of Rappahannock_ County, which she has been researching. Any interested people are cordially Invited to attend.
