Pictures: Photographs of the county the "way it was ’ before the four-lane was put in. of that cabin on your property, of your greatgrandparents celebrating their 50th anniversary would be appreciated additions.
Cemeteries: There must be a hundred or more private cemeteries in the county. Needed are inventories of the graves in these cemeteries. Take some sunny afternoon and write down names and dates of the people in your cemetery.
Newspaper Clippings: Knowledge of families their successes, the obituary of your great-grandfather, graduations, fires, wind-'' storms, whatever your family thought important enough to clip out.
Letters: Letters from even 30 years ago make interesting reading if it is about a local event or a prominent citizen. Maybe this is where information on Rappahannock people in the World Wars could be obtained. Memoirs: Sometimes an ancestor will have kept a diary, or written something down for his grandchildren. Black History: There is a special need for genealogies of black families and histories of black churches.
