“MY BABY’S FEET LOOK FLAT”

Many parents feel that their young children have flat feet During the first months, all infants have flat looking feet because of the softness of the tissues. As the child grows, if the foot is truly flat, there will be a misalignment of the bones. This should definitely be treated, because a truly 'flat" foot does not only look bad, but it functions very poorly and can later lead to such problems as corns, bunions, hammertoes, etc Sometimes these children do not complain about their feet and others only complain that their legs hurt.

"Flat" feet are easier to treat in children while the bones are soft: Usually we use simple devices in the shoes, and often if these soft bones can be trained to grow correctly, these devices will not have to be used as adults. Remember, we are only young once
