(Continued from Page 12) organized for those who need occasional child care services at night and on the weekends. Parents other than school parents are welcome to join and may do so by calling the school at 675-3237 between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
In addition to its programs for children who are regularly enrolled, Sursum Corda began a drop-in child care service in June for children of all ages. Any parent may take advantage of this program for emergency child care needs or simply to have a day by one’s self.
Parents should pre-register their children prior to the first day of drop-in care. More details on this program can be obtained by calling the school.
After-school care is also available for children ages 512. This service is used primarily by working parents. Children may be enrolled by the day, week, or month. They may also come to the day care center on holidays and other days that regular school programs are closed and Sursum Corda is open. The day care center is open year-round and is closed only 10 weekdays of the year.
Sursum Corda was established in 1976 and is now in its fifth year of operation as a non-profit corporation. It offers childcare for infants, toddlers, pre-schoolers and afterschool children, as well as educational enrichment classes for school age I children and adults.
