Hopewejll Baptist, in Sperryville and Promised Land Baptist in Washington where the Aylor family now lives. She’s vice-president of Hopewell’s Missionary Circle, an organization that provides food and financial help to the needy, president of the Pastor’s Aid Society and secretary of the senior choir. She sings with Promised Land’s choir as well and is vice-president of the Usher Board there. She’s also a member of the Wayland Blue Ridge Baptist Association’s choir and usher association.
It’s evident that Rachel doesn't just stop at her church—wherever she can be of help, she’s there. “My pastor calls me the late Rachel Aylor,” she admitted with a broad smile. “I have too many irons in the fire. Church starts at 11 a.m. and often, I don’t get there until 12. 1 just lose track of the time.”
