Mr. Jenkins was born September 13, 1892, in Rappahannock County, son of the late Amos and Nancy Burke Jenkins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Nicholson Jenkins.
Surviving are two sons, Jesse F. Jenkins and Joseph T. Jenkins, both of Stephens City; three daughters, Nellie Batman of Greenbelt, Md., Mary Slyman of Orange and Della Pyne of Front Royal; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by two sons and two daughters.
Special Service
Ordination services will be held at the Promise Land Baptist Church near Washington on Sunday, January 4 at 3 p.m. The Rev. R. L. Banks of Culpeper will be the guest speaker and the public is invited.
