According to Delegate George Beard, redistricting and the ‘mini-budget” will be the top issues in the upcoming short session of Virginia’s General Assembly w^iich gets under way January 14.
Estimating the state’s budget surplus at S180 million. Beard said the legislature is "at the crossroads on whether to give tax relief and cut back on services” or use the money to improve existing program.
Beard, who represents the 25th District of Rappahannock, Culpeper, Madison and Orange, was at the court house in Washington on Monday to meet with local citizens.
