In October, 1980, after months of discussion, surveys and study, the board approved expanded couse offerings, including remedial math lab. additional section of typing, options for either academic or general English in grades 8-12 and a clerk-typist block program. In addition, math requirements for graduation were upped from two to three years.
The board also agreed that students should be encouraged to take six courses a year for credit, eliminating study hall as a sixth class.
