Corbitt, joined by Mrs. Barbara Hardesty of Silver Spring, Md., were in Tappahannock Sunday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hicklin and family. They attended a performance of the Westmoreland Players, Inc. at Hague where Mrs. Vivian Hicklin, daughter of the Semones, had the lead role of Queen Aggravin in “Once Upon A Mattress.”
Bake Sale
The members of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville will have a bake sale on Sturday, May 23, from 8 to noon at the Rappahannock Farmers Cooperative.
Guest Speaker
The Rev. Wendell Grant, pastor of First Baptist Church in Washington, will be guest speaker at Hopewell Baptist Church, Sperryville, on Sunday* May 24, at 3 p.m.
Benefit Sale
A yard and bake sale will be held at the Sperryville Emporium May 23, 24 and 25 beginning at 10 a.m., sponsored by the Sperryville Ladies Auxiliary. In case of rain, sale will be held at the fire hall.
