Baumgardner said that if the well is dug and does not meet the town’s needs for water, it will be capped and the property restored and there will be no purchase. Mrs. Updike had agreed to allow the town sixty days to dig the well and make a final decision. At Miller’s request, she agreed to extend the time thirty days if the well is not completed in time.
