three Rappahannock County Elementary School kindergarten teachers recently visited Sursum Corda to meet with director, Camille Harris, and to visit classrooms so they could get a better understanding of how best to provide a kindergarten program for those children who have already been through Sursum Corda’s preschool readiness program.
Since the inception of the preschool and child care program three years ago, Sursum Corda children have shown consistently high degrees of competence in language, math, social, emotional, self-help, and physical development. The preschool instructional program has been advantageous to average and “gifted" children, as well as those with special needs and handicapping conditions.
