We would also like to thank Fauquier County Parks and Recreation Department and Central Fidelity Bank in Culpeper for providing transportation of the victims to the site.

We would like, also, to emphasize that this exercise involved an unprecedented 10 of the 15 volunteer rescue squads from all five counties of Planning District 9: Culpeper County Rescue Squad and Richardsville Volunteer Fire and Rescue; Cedar Run Volunteer Rescue; Marshall Volunteer Rescue; Remington Volunteer Fire and Rescue; The Plains Volunteer Firfc Department and Warrenton Volunteer Rescue Squad; Madison County Rescue Squad; Orange County Rescue Squad; and Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue from Rappahannock County. Both Culpeper Memorial and Fauquier Hospitals were active participants in the drill as was the Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department. Certainly, no pretense is made that we can prepare

The staff and board of directors of Sursum Corda School wish to thank members of the community who made our first annual Antique and All-Out Auction a success.

We appreciate the excellent coverage provided by the Rappahannock News.

Pali Delevitt and her assistant Kathryn Treanor took the organizing initiative and primary responsibility.

The Rappahannock National Bank consented to our using their adjoining lot and John Walker Jenkins volunteered his professional skill as auctioneer.

Lynne Baines and scores of others too numbous to mention donated their time on July 4th. And last, but first, our thanks to the many individuals who gave us items and services to be auctioned.

This benefit for the school earned us approximately SI,000 which will be used for purchase of playground equipment and for the building fund.
