A variety of repairs and possible improvements headed the agenda of the February Washington Town Council meeting held the 10th. Mayor Newbill Miller and all council members were present.
Council member Dorothy Hawkins expressed concern over the condition of the' street signs, and was eager for action to repair permanently and preserve the wooden signs and posts.
According to a report by treasurer Brad Fisher, the books are just beginning to show a positive balance after funds were expended for the new well and its connection to the water system. “Let’s wait another month to take care of this” Fisher suggested to Mrs. Hawkins and other members.
