Smith

James Fielding Smith, 83, of Culpeper died February 16, 1982 at the Virginia Baptist Home. He was a native of Rappahannock and had lived many years in Sperryville.

He was the son of the late Dr. William Jackson Smith and Frances Clare Wood Smith. He was a member of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Mrs. Launah Fulton Smith of the Virginia Baptist Home in Culpeper and number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held today, Thursday, at 2 p.m. in the Sperryville Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Ronald Wiley and Dr. Raleigh Baker.
