Girl Scout troops in Rappahannock join those across the state and nation in the annual cookie sale campaign, the proceeds of which finance troop activities. The last day that cookie orders may be placed is Monday. February 22.
Special programs are financed through these funds as well as normal operating expenses, camps and training programs for all age groups. To achieve all of this, the Girl Scouts of the Virginia Skyline Council of which Rappahannock is a part, must sell 548.000 packages of cookies, or an average of about 46 packages per girl.
During the cookie sale campaign, some of these young ladies were asked what the scouting program in Rappahannock had done for them. These are some of the replies:
