In addition, the board asked for copies of an investigation and report on unemployment compensation laws by the commonwealth's attorney as requested by the county supervisors.
Earlier in the meeting, Elisabeth and Ned Johnson suggested that the board excerpt the opening chapter on the history of the Fairfax proprietery from their book, "Rappahannock, Fact Fiction and Foolishness," to use in pamphlet form as part of Virginia history courses at both the elementary and high schools.
Johnson estimated cost at about 50 cents pier copy and noted that Madison and Culpeper counties may be interested as well in securing pamphlets.
The board authorized Estabrook to look into cost and report back to the board.
“I’ve read each and every word of your book,” commented Eastham to the Johnsons. "We should be very thankful and grateful to them for what they've done for the citizens of this county," he added to his fellow board members.
