On March 18 at 8:00 p.m. Roadside Theater will perform its newest musical, SOUTH OF THE MOUNTAIN, at The Gay St. Theater, Wash., Va. The performance by the nation, all-acclaimed traveling theater company is being sponsored by The Rappahannock Association for Arts and the Community.
SOUTH OF THE MOUNTAIN is the story of two generations of a family as they face the dramatic changes of moving from a mountain farm to an industrial way of life. Based largely on the reflections of the author’s kin, the production blends their stories with a dozen original songs (accompanied by guitar, banjo, and fiddle) to portray an experience common throughout the nation.
